Here’s the interview I did with Tom Gray July 3 at the Great Western Steam Up in Carson City at the Nevada State Railroad Museum. It’s the second of three installments. Sorry for the delay in getting it posted!

First installment was Taylor McCready https://www.patreon.com/posts/v-t-at-great-up-69918516

Third installment is coming, thanks for your patience with me dribbling these out. The third video features Kyle Wyatt, retired from NSRM and CSRM, talking about the possibility that the “Reno” has Russia iron on it, in the boiler jacket. It’s pretty exciting!

In this video Tom does a recap of the Reno acquisition and talks about ongoing work on the “Reno” historic steam locomotive. He talks about the 1001 and 1007 boxcars, and the 1874 V&T Wells and French derrick car, a special find.

You can see the tours of the acquisition we posted earlier here on Patreon.

We then see the Eureka and Pallisade narrow gauge locomotive go by, I didn’t show the whole runby because they had it overloaded and it was slipping.

Tom talks about the Lightnight Express passenger train that the Reno used to pull to Vallejo, where the passengers connected to San Francisco on a steam boat / barge.

Then Tom talks about the current work going on with the Reno.
