Thanks to the “Reno” Shiners from GWSU!

Here’s a special thanks to the guys who helped shine and strip paint off the Reno during the #greatwesternsteamup.  The V&T #11 the “Reno” steam locomotive looks so much better after  their hard work with brasso, paint stripper and other assorted  chemicals.

We feature a couple of video creators who were there, the people from  Railroad Showcase are the official event video creators, see their  upcoming DVD or streaming at their website: https://www.rrshowcase.com

We also saw Fred Johnsen from the Airailimages channel on YouTube. Here’s a video he did that covers the Reno: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7pim2pagb0, thanks Airailimages for doing that!

The V&T #11 the “Reno” #steamlocomotive was on display for four days  at the Nevada State Railroad museum, July 1-4, 2022. I was there  working for the V&T talking to people about our fundraising efforts.

Another V&T person, Taylor McCready, was there working insane hours  every day talking to people and shining/stripping paint off the  Reno.Taylor organized a crew of helpers, to whom we are quite grateful,  who worked continuously on the Reno while the show was open. It was  amazing to watch!

We talk to one of them briefly, Kyle Gabba. I had just finished some  longer interviews, I wish I hadn’t been in such a rush with Kyle.

Sorry for the video quality in some clips, I didn’t have my GoPro with  me for some of the shots, I was using a cheap cell phone to shoot those,  a Galaxy A12.
